LULAC Council 4535 would like to thank our sponsors and supporters for a job well done.
LULAC Council 4535 , is proud to announce 83 years of service. We focus on youth, the future leaders of our nation, by providing them opportunities for an education. This year we honor outstanding seniors from Killeen, Harker Heights and Copperas Cove, currently enrolled student from CTC/ TAMU-CT, and an adult returning to school with $1000.00 Scholarships each.
LULAC Council 4535, hundreds of students from our five local High Schools & our local colleges have applied for the LULAC Scholarship during the period 2002-2010. This year we awarded 10 Scholarships for a total of 70 in the last eight years, to include Continuing Education Scholarships at CTC and Texas A&M University-Central Texas. Unfortunately, the number of scholarships awarded is limited by the availability of funds. Next year we are awarding $10,000 more!

Most of us can remember a time when someone in our life cared about our education more than we did. We remember being pushed to go to school, we remember being directed towards better grades, all the while not truly understanding the “why” behind the drive. Today, we can look back and we understand why those close to us in life instilled the desire to learn in us. As we grow older the “ why” suddenly becomes clear. And we feel an urge to motivate those that we love. It is this understanding, it is this desire, that the youth have a real opportunity at education, that supports the LULAC Council 4535 today.
